I believe what happened in the commercial world did diverge from the residential sphere. As we know residential design are focused on house designs and building homes whereas commercial designs focus on various Venus, however; there are similarities that can give one a reason to believe commercial may have echoed residential design.

Residential buildings are a lot smaller and take up less room. They are design for the comfort of a few people whereas a commercial building is for a group and abundance of people.

House are typically built in a suburban area with many other homes and commercial buildings are built normally within the area of various venues. But one thing I have noticed is commercial design being built in suburban areas and design are beginning to look more modern and “homey”.
